Editors Note: The story and career of De Hardman is a special one to WrestleMap. Hardman reached out to WrestleMap through Facebook after seeing some of the matches that we helped to share from previous Nigeria Pro Wrestling Federation events looking for the opportunity to train and become a pro wrestler. We helped point him in the right direction to seek out the proper training and now to see him making his debut on an NPWF event is awesome. Helping potential pro wrestlers around the world discover their local wrestling scenes and have an opportunity to live out their dreams and goals in the ring was a major goal of the WrestleMap project when making the initial decision to launch the site. It’s amazing to see both the dreams and goals that we set for WrestleMap coming true at the same time as the dreams and goals of De Hardman are beginning to come true.
We’ll have more coverage of the Tony Destroyer Memorial wrestling event in the days to come. We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to provide a more in depth look at the matches and provide some results…and hopefully even some video!
In some related news, a general meeting is planned for this Saturday, June 4, at the National Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria. Wrestlers, promoters and stakeholders are all invited to attend the meeting which is set to discuss the future and way forward for the NPWF and other Nigerian pro wrestling promotions.
