Turkey’s First Female Wrestling Champion Slated To Make First Title Defense

Compass Wrestling of Istanbul, Turkey, has recently started to make some announcements for their upcoming second anniversary show, Aydinlink 2. The show’s title honors a fallen member of the original group of wrestlers that would go on to form Compass Wrestling. No date has been announced as of yet but one major matchup has. The Compass Championship will be on the line as Nil Yildirim, Turkey’s first female wrestling champion, will defend her title against the man she beat to capture that title, Cesar Cage.

Cage has an argument that the title should still rightfully be his after Nil’s boyfriend, Anil Ilmaz, interrupted the match on Nil’s behalf, helping her to win the Compass Championship. However, the rematch has been granted with one stipulation….there will be no disqualifications. Anything goes. That undoubtedly creates an advantage for Nil as any and all of Anil’s outside interference will be deemed as legal offense.

More details to come from Compass Wrestling soon!
