One title isn’t enough: Sammy Guevara eyes up championship belt in Egypt’s PWO

A video recently released to Facebook by Egypt’s Pro Wrestling Organization shared some footage from a press conference that the company held. On hand were PWO trainer and official Jesus Rodriguez, Walid Mohamed and AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara. Rodriguez is presenting one of the PWO’s title belts when a fight breaks out between Guevara and Mohamed over the title belt. Guevara lands his GTH finisher on Walid and then poses with the PWO belt before tossing water at Rodriguez and leaving the scene.

Could Sammy Guevara be eyeing up the PWO Championship? We have already seen Carlito and Chris Masters show interest in the belt and Walid Mohamed had already inserted himself into the mix prior to this press conference as well. It appears as if one title belt isn’t enough for the recently crowned TNT Champion, the Spanish God.

PWO originally expressed a desire to WrestleMap to relaunch with a debut event in October but the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic may be making that goal a little bit more difficult than originally hoped as there are still restrictions for large public events in place in Egypt. The PWO wrestlers have continued training, though, and have recently established a championship title belt that’s defended at their training academy. That title belt recently changed hands when “Relentless Wolf” Ahmed Ragab defeated defending champion Adham Hatem for the belt. You can watch that match below.
