Live pro wrestling returns to the Bahamas for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic

This Saturday, Bahamas Wrestling Entertainment is set to get in the ring in front of a live crowd for the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The action is set to kick off at 6 PM Bahamas time from the Anatol Rodger Field in Nassau. Local wrestlers from Bahamas Wrestling Entertainment are set to be in action along with wrestlers from Miami, Florida’s Fighting Evolution Wrestling and the Bronx Wrestling Federation. Among the marquee names set to appear are former WWE and NWA superstar Elijah Burke, who is also known as Pope. Former WWE referee Justin King will also be on hand to officiate the action.

BWE is a relatively new promotion based out of Nassau that has been training new Bahamian wrestlers over the last few years. The company was forced to take a break from live events due to the COVID-19 pandemic but are undoubtedly thrilled to be back in action for this outdoor event.

Previous BWE events have featured well-known wrestling stars such as former WWE Tag Team Champion Thrasher of the Headbangers, AEW’s Red Velvet and Teddy Long.

Several wrestlers from the Bahamas are set to be in action including Island Boy, Jinx, Death Dealer, Warren Santangelo and 2 Face. Along with the Bahamian wrestlers, the Nu Nation tag team, Joseline Navarro, Iseah Bronson, Tony Macko, Jamie Stanley, Reggie Rhythm, Jonny Sullivan, JB Cool, Sak Pase, and Roni Nicole are all advertised for the event. For fans that are in the Bahamas, ticket prices are as follows:

Kids 5-12: $8

Teens 13-18: $18

Adults GenAd.: $25

VIP: $35

Platinum: $47

BWE will also be holding a training seminar for wrestlers with the visiting talent on Friday, April 29. For more information on the show and how to obtain tickets or to learn more about Bahamas Wrestling Entertainment, visit their Facebook page!
