Participants named for Emperor of Austria tournament
Pro Wrestling Österreich is holding their first ever Kaiser Von Österreich or “Emperor of Austria” tournament in September.. The tournament will name the true emperor of Austrian pro wrestling and it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. More details are emerging regarding the inaugural tournament, with the tournament format and now wrestlers involved being announced, since we first covered the tournament a couple months back.
The tournament is set to consist of three singles matches in the first round and a triple threat elimination match in the championship round. The wrestler left standing at the end of the triple threat match will be crowned the Emperor of Austria!
The tournament’s competitors are all Austrian born pro wrestlers. Expected to compete in the September 11th tournament are Martn Pain, Chris Colen, “Dan Main” Dennis Zinner, Mexxberg, “Avalanche” Robert Dreissker, and Peter White.
While anything can happen between now and September, especially in the wild world of pro wrestling, a few contenders stand out to the WrestleMap staff as favorites heading into the tournament. Chris Colen, for example, is a former German Wrestling Federation champion and has also held titles in Austria’s European Wrestling Association. “Avalanche” Robert Dreissker, the head trainer of Germany’s wXw and also a current holder of the same company’s tag team titles, is another contender that stands out as a possible favorite.
