“The good that men do lives with them”-HRH Oba James Oladipo Buremoh “Ladi The African Tiger”
A philanthropist is a person who seeks to promote the welfare of others, especially by the generous donation of money to good causes. He or she donates time, money, experience, skills or talent to help create a better world and those are the words that describe a very good and sincere friend of His Royal Highness, King James Oladipo Aroko Ola Buremoh Ajagungbade 1, a onetime World Heavyweight Wrestling champion known as Ladi The African Tiger who is the Onidera of Idera Land in Kwara State. Kwara State is located in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria, bordered to the east by Kogi State, to the north by Niger State, and to the south by Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo states, while its western border makes up part of the international border with Benin Republic.

According to the world renowned pro wrestling legend and former world champion and title holder who is now a Nigerian fourth class oba of high repute, King James Oladipo Buremoh said his friend paid for the registration of 20 students Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) registration in Idera. ‘’Though he would like to remain anonymous on this but we are very grateful for the opportunity he has offered which will enable 20 youths of Idera land to be able to process going to tertiary institutions at the end of the year if they meet up with the cut off marks and pass very well. The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board is a Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary-level institutions. The board conducts entrance Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for prospective undergraduates into Nigerian universities and other institutions of learning,’’ the king explained.

King Ladi, who started his career in the USA as a great wrestler, narrated that his most memorable fight of course was in 1988 when he won the world heavy weight wrestling championship in a fight against the flamboyant wrestling legend Michael Hayes in the presence of his kinsmen with full federal government representation at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos. It was a day he can never forget and will always and forever glorify God for.
