New Nepali wrestling promotion set to debut today

The Professional Wrestling Association, a new Nepal-based pro wrestling promotion, will be making their debut today, at least in Nepal time. At the time of writing, it’s 3 AM in Nepal on Tuesday, September 27th, or according to the Nepali calendar, Ashoj 11th. The event is set for Dolakha, Nepal at around 12 noon.

The PWA is being launched by The Yuv and Rupak. The Yuv has competed for both the Nepal Ring Wrestling Association and Ultimate Wrestling Entertainment. The launch of the PWA will create the fifth pro wrestling company in Nepal, a country that continues to see increased popularity and growth in the pro wrestling industry.

The event poster for the event set for today in Dolakha is advertising several wrestling stars from Nepal, India and Pakistan, including the original Nepali wrestler Himalayan Tiger. Also being advertised for the inaugural PWA event are Scorpion, Yeti, Lizard King, Nepali Bro, Asmita Jureli, Sher Khan, Amit, Talha Ali and more.

The Dolakha Championship title belt will be decided at the event with The Yuv and Scorpion meeting in an extreme hardcore match to name the first champion. The Yuv has extensive experience in these types of matches as he has battled in hardcore matches very many times throughout his career.
