New proposed Africa-wide wrestling touring group kicks off in Republic of the Congo

Some of Brazzaville and the Republic of the Congo’s best wrestlers were in action over the first weekend of July as part of a proposed Africa-wide wrestling tour. Our sources relayed to WrestleMap that similar wrestling events would also take place in South Africa, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Angola. Wrestlers would then be selected from each country to tour Africa as a traveling pro wrestling event.

Among the wrestlers to compete at the Brazzaville event were FECOLUSAF Champion of Brazzaville RTGA Du Pouvoir Lion, Bedezo, Lourd Biankouikila, Nina Chaleur, Ours Noire and more. Viewers of the WrestleMap Exclusive event The Brawl in Brazzaville should be familiar with a handful of these wrestlers and may be interested in checking out their latest work in the ring. Luckily for us, the matches from the event are available on YouTube courtesy of Africa Unie TV and RTGA’s YouTube account.

Some of the action between Nina Chaleur and Bedezo looked particularly brutal and RTGA and Ours Noire looked good in their encounter with the champion of Brazzaville, RTGA, standing out like usual. There was also some catch fetiche on the card for fans of the unique Congolese style of voodoo wrestling.

You can check out some of the Republic of the Congo’s absolute best wrestlers in some high impact, hard hitting matches below.

August 3, 2022 Update: we’re beginning to learn a little bit more about this proposed Africa-wide wrestling group. The organization will be called Le Oünko and they’ve launched a YouTube channel (a second one has also sprung up with more content). So far, they’ve only posted one video to their page, which you can check out below, but more should be coming soon as we’ve gotten a sneak peak at one video project so far. It looks like a high production quality can be expected for what Le Oünko has in store and we’re pretty excited to see where this goes.

That video that we were able to get a sneak peek of has also made its way to the web. Check it out below.

Le Oünko has also launched a Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn page.
