“I WILL WIN PWA AFRICAN CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE FOR PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA” – Stability the Man
The Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA) cruiserweight title contender, Stability The Man, who hails from Gutu, Masvingo in Zimbabwe, and who has his real name as Edward Dembedza from the Karanga tribe, has made a statement that come Saturday 25th November, 2023, in front of his co-compatriots in Harare, Zimbabwe, he will defeat TJ Tremor, his South African opponent to win the PWA Cruiserweight title and then present the title belt to the president of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa.
"I will win the PWA cruiserweight wrestling championship title and present it to my Zimbabwean President, His Excellency, Emmerson Mnangagwa in commemoration of his 6 years in office as the president of the Republic of Zimbabwe. He has indeed done well as he chaired the national cabinet in the last 6 years and has been the chief commanding authority of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. The President was installed on 24th November 2017, so if I win an African Wrestling championship title fight on the 25th November 2023 and present to the president as a sign of appreciation of his good governance and great leadership roles, I sincerely think that, that is on the right direction. He is indeed a worthy leader to be emulated by other youths," explained Stability the Man.
Seasoned and stylish Stability the Man, who is the first male born and the second child in a family of six children, boasted that he is battle ready to defeat TJ Tremor as he has indeed contributed a quota to the development and upliftment of professional wrestling in Zimbabwe, a Southern Africa nation. Edward’s brother does domestic body building at the peak, so sporting activities run in the family to an extent.
“I have what it takes to defeat South African born “The Dream Machine” TJ Tremor. Though he is currently on tour of Europe, I don’t have issues with that. No problem. I have what it takes to slug it out with him. I have also been training in the rain, in the sun, on the mountain top and even in the valley. I am not supposed to fight for the title now, but I thank the federation’s President Mr. Tapiwa who suggested I go for it so that Zimbabwe as a nation can also be represented in the world of African pro wrestling. I decided not to miss the opportunity then I indicated interest.
‘’I just can’t wait to win and present the belt to my President, who has done well for the nation of Zimbabwe. It may not be easy achieving this project, but it is very possible. I also have plans to compete for the title in Harare, Zimbabwe as it will not be possible for anybody to rob me in front of my fellow Zimbabweans which can happen in any other parts of the world especially in South Africa where TJ Tremor hails from,” explained the stylish grappler. “I need to fight and win at home, charity begins at home. No place like home. I am sure of victory at home. After clinching the title, I will present it to the president of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa, for his supportive roles in sporting events, good governance, peaceful initiatives and for all his efforts and plans to take the Republic of Zimbabwe to the next level,” he concluded.
Pro Wrestling Africa, the sanctioning African body, is currently working round the clock to see to the success of the championship in Zimbabwe but the Zimbabwe Wrestling Federation in conjunction with Zimbabwe Boxing & Wrestling Board of Control should go into discussion with the sports management authorities in Harare so as to have a successful and hitch free championship.
According to Olusesan Olukoya, the Secretary General of the Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA): “We at Pro Wrestling Africa are set to revolutionize African wrestling to what is obtainable in the western world. We have the talents, the techniques, gimmicks, and basically, what we lack is the exposure to the international world of the game which we are currently taking care of,” he narrated. “We have taken the African pro wrestling crusade to Benin Republic, Ghana, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and now we are set to storm Zimbabwe in Southern Africa in November towards the end of the year,” he concluded.
Stability the Man was trained by Cornelius Masinire, Tiberi Hovath, and later Isaac Mpia. He became a wrestler in 2002 and participated in amateur National Championships from the year 2004 to 2014 and he was motivated to turn professional by watching ZWF activities on the television and always wished to be a champion then. The rest is now history, having achieved his aim and objectives in life. Stability the Man had Mr. Mat as his first opponent and Sotation as his toughest opponent till date. His most memorable match till date was with Maodza aka Nyamhanza.
On his future plans, the talented wrestler who lists Bret “Hitman” Hart as his childhood wrestling hero, would like to become a world champion and extend hands of fellowship to his nation by developing professional wrestling in Zimbabwe to world standard. His favorite food is Sadza with rice and fish and he loves apple juice while he cherishes the color purple with passion.
