UK based promotion that values charity work just as much as wrestling set to return to action for first time since pre-Covid this weekend

Derby, UK based Aspire Wrestling Alliance will be getting back into the ring in front of a crowd this Saturday for the first time since February 2020. This return to action has been titled Homecoming and is being advertised as a family friendly wrestling event. While this will be the group’s first time returning to wrestling action in a year and a half, it won’t be the group’s first activity in the same timespan.

Aspire serves as more than just a wrestling promotion. The group’s mission doesn’t just begin and end with putting on pro wrestling shows. Instead, Aspire is extremely active in the Derby community and serves as a charitable hub in the region. Their work spans from anti-bullying and anti-hate campaigns, to leading and hosting mental health support groups, to serving as an emergency food hub for those in need in the Derby region and much more. This dedication to service and charity isn’t something that just started up as a reaction to being held out of the ring due to the pandemic, either. When the company was first established in 2015, the charitable work aspect was just as important to the group as the pro wrestling aspect was. That dedication has continued to this day. All of Aspire’s current charity projects can be tracked via their Facebook page. Prior to their public return to the ring, the group also recently held a show at Aspire headquarters just for area children.

Aspire’s return to public performance should be a good one and tickets are moving quickly. As of the last update from the company, there were under 8 tickets remaining and the company was closing in on a sell out. The Aspire Wrestling Championship will be on the line as current champion Paul Malen will defend his title against “The Vicious One” Jordan Lee. The Aspire tag team gold will also be defended as current champions The Trailblazers go head to head with The Five Star Express.

Also advertised for the event is the ultra-popular Joseph Cardinal, who will be stepping in the ring with the “Beat Box King” Jack Sparda. The massive 6’4”, 355 pound Roarke is also scheduled to wrestle and Aspire GM Miss Scarlet Page is expected to be in attendance.

All of this and more will be going down at St. Martin’s Methodist Church in Allenton. For those in the Allenton and Derby area that wish to attend, act quick because tickets are limited! With all of the excellent work Aspire does in the community, this is an event and organization you can feel good about supporting! Fan support will also help the wrestling promotion to continue all of the great work they have been doing in the community.
