New champion of Brazzaville crowned

There’s been a lot of big pro wrestling news coming out of the Republic of the Congo as of late. First, Le Oünko made their arena debut in Brazzaville. We’re still waiting on the release of that event video and we’ll share it here once it’s available.

Now, a new FECOLUSAF Champion of Brazzaville has been crowned at a recent Departmental Championship in the Central African capital city.

As we’ve shared in the past, these Departmental Championship events kick off with the reigning champion deposing the title to the heads of the federation and then being forced to re-earn it by coming out of the championship as the winner. RTGA Du Pouvoir Lion, who has been reigning as Champion of Brazzaville since January of 2018, deposed the belt this year as required by the champion. However, unlike last year when RTGA was able to regain the belt, a new champion of Brazzaville emerged from this year’s Departmental Championship.

This year, RTGA was eliminated from contention prior to the final when he was eliminated from a battle royal that was set to determine the two finalists. The Lion was eliminated from the match by CAP 150 after he threw him over the top rope to the floor. This is the second time CAP 150 has gotten the best of RTGA as of late as we can confirm that these two also met up at the debut Oünko arena show and CAP 150 emerged victorious in that match as well. CAP 150 would be eliminated from the battle royal soon after, leaving Obus and Tramotina as the two finalists.

Obus and Tramotina, who is also known as Ebende Molaso, would then meet in a singles match for the Brazzaville championship. Tramotina won the match and in turn became the new FECOLUSAF Champion of Brazzaville in Classic Style after busting a cinder block over Obus’s chest with a pipe.

The full championship match between Tramotina and Obus is available on the Africa Unie TV video below. The Departmental Championship also featured some catch fetiche action with one of Brazzaville’s best fetiche artists, Yaya Palmas, in action. You can check out the Departmental Championship footage below.
