Hungarian takeover of wXw continues as Iva wins women’s gold

Hungarian wrestling fans are rejoicing this week after Iva Kolasky won the vacant wXw Women’s Championship in a best of three series against Stephanie Maze at October 23rd’s True Colors. Iva outlasted Stephanie two falls to one. Following her victory, Iva tweeted out a photo of her hands being raised in victory by the referee with her newly won title belt in hand. The photo was captioned “dreams come true.”

Iva’s big win comes as the Arrows of Hungary have also taken over the wXw tag team division, winning the tag team titles back in July. Hungarian wrestlers now hold a majority of the German company’s championship belts.

True Colors is set to hit wXw’s streaming service wXw Now on Halloween (this coming Sunday, October 31st) at 4 PM (16h00). wXw is one of the premier European independent wrestling promotions, perhaps the continent’s most popular, and checking out their latest release will be a nice Halloween treat for wrestling fans, one that will be extra sweet for fans watching in Hungary. Without giving too much away before the video is released, this card is full of very impactful match results that are set to change the landscape of wXw.
