All Caribbean Wrestling heading to Jamaica for the first time

Since their launch in Trinidad and Tobago in July 2022, All Caribbean Wrestling has hit the road pretty regularly. Aside from holding multiple events in Trinidad and Tobago, ACW has also toured to Miami, Florida and Los Angeles, California.

The next stop on ACW’s international tour will be another Caribbean island nation. On July 22nd, 2023, ACW will head to Kingston, Jamaica for Welcome to Jamrock.

ACW will be heading to the Alfred Sangster Auditorium on the campus of the University of Technology, Jamaica. The auditorium has a seating capacity of 1,100.

No talent announcements for the upcoming Welcome To Jamrock event have been made yet but ACW has promised some of their top stars along with some top stars from the Miami, Florida based independent promotion Fighting Evolution Wrestling. Reggie Rhythm is the current ACW Heavyweight Champion while Queen Aminata is the current ACW Women’s Champion. Past ACW events have included Mark Henry, Christoper Daniels, Lince Dorado, “The Pope” Elijah Burke, Top Dolla, The Bollywood Boys, Thom Lattimer, Iseah Bronson, The Nu Nation and many more.

This trip by ACW will mark the first visit to Jamaica by an outside promotion in quite some time—or maybe ever. A quick search through some results databases doesn’t yield any results but without doing more extensive digging, it’s hard to reach a conclusive determination.

The island nation is currently home to Caribbean Wrestling Entertainment, an independent promotion which is headed up by Bobby Wales, a former mainstay of the Florida area during the territory days and one time tag team partner of Norman Smiley, but the company runs an irregular schedule. It’s unknown at this time if CWE or Bobby Wales will play a role in the upcoming ACW event.

Update July 20, 2023: ACW has announced that the event will be postponed until a September date.
