Pro wrestling returning to Trinidad and Tobago on July 31st
A brand new wrestling promotion is set to make its debut in Trinidad and Tobago on August 31st! They’ll be doing so with internationally known talent and an exciting card!
All Caribbean Wrestling will be making their debut on July 31st from the Woodbrook Youth Facility in the Port of Spain on the island of Trinidad. The venue can hold a capacity of around 1,000 spectators. The event is being held in association with Miami, Florida’s Fighting Evolution Wrestling. FEW has recently branched out into other Caribbean countries as well, most notably working with Bahamas Wrestling Entertainment in Nassau for a handful of events.
ACW’s first event will be called Battle Kingdom and tickets are now available with more ticketing information available through the company’s Facebook page.
ACW will be kicking things off with a bang as their first card is set to feature internationally known pro wrestling stars. Recently announced for the event is probably the most widely known wrestling superstar on the card: The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. Mark Henry will not be competing in a match but instead will be slated as a ringside enforcer, as Trinidad and Tobago Newsday recently reported.
While Mark Henry will be present outside of the ring, several other well known wrestlers from around the world of pro wrestling will be present in it. Female wrestler Red Velvet, who is best known for her work with All Elite Wrestling, is scheduled to be on hand. Two stars of the revived National Wrestling Alliance will also be on hand and are scheduled to meet inside the ring as Elijah Burke, better known as Pope, is set to take on Thom Lattimer in one-on-one action.
Other current roster members of the NWA are also announced as being in action at Battle Kingdom. In tag team action, The End (Odinson & Parrow) will take on independent tag team Nu Nation. NWA women’s wrestler and reality TV personality Paola Mayfield is also scheduled for action as she’ll step into the ring with Joseline Navarro.
Other matches announced for the card include popular indie wrestler Queen Aminata taking on Mazzerati in women’s action and Marshe Rockett taking on Jamie Stanley. Malik Bosede and Snoop Strikes will also meet in singles action. In the night’s main event, Trinidad and Tobago’s own Trini Dan will take on a mystery opponent!
It’s very exciting to see a new promotion launching in Trinidad and Tobago, especially with the internationally known wrestlers that are set to appear on the card. This should be a great event for pro wrestling in the Caribbean and with the dedication that All Caribbean Wrestling and their staff have put into this event, the future of pro wrestling in the region looks bright!
