NPWF MOCK PRO WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP, SHOWCASING NIGERIAN TALENTS TO THE WORLD

There have been pro wrestling activities in Nigerian states since the early 70s involving wrestlers from the nooks and crannies of the nation. Nigeria is an African country on the Gulf of Guinea, that has many natural landmarks and wildlife reserves with protected areas such as Cross River National Park and Yankari National Park with waterfalls, dense rainforest, savanna and rare primate habitats.

The nation of over 200 million people, which is the most populated black nation in the world, had a great pro wrestling event on Saturday 20th March 2021 to the amazement of the fans that were present at the event who also testified that it was indeed a super cool event as Former African Tag Team champion Iron Bone of the sensational Iron Brothers was the referee and Elephando Bassey was the ring announcer.

Zion Lion (Sunday Dan Philips) and Mr. Sharpman (Augustine Okafor) have been old rivals in the world of Nigerian pro-wrestling though they have tagged in the past as The Grippers who competed fairly with the Black Demons and the Golden Twins of Congo in 2013 and 2014. No permanent friend and permanent enemy in pro wrestling but permanent interest and that have made them to compete again now as old rivals. Mr. Sharpman who addressed the press men before his bout with Zion proclaimed that he is sharper than knife and ready to defeat his opponent having done it before and he indeed won after 10 minutes into the fight with a pinfall.

The most sensational fight of the day was the ladies bout which was like a miracle. Alexandra de Queen (Jennifer Alexandra Obiora) competed with Iron Lady Becky (Becky Ademo) who had upper hand at the inception of the bout before baton changed hand and youthful and acrobatic Alexandra the Queen, having her first bout ever, overshadowed Becky by slamming her and the rest became history as the referee had the three counts without Becky lifting her hand or leg up and Alexandra stylishly won the bout. The fans were amazed asking how it happened and that is an indication that in pro wrestling, anything can indeed happen just like the case of David and Goliath in the Bible. Congratulations to the stylish Queen of the ring who has Sasha Banks (Mercedes Justine Kaestner-Varnado), an American professional wrestler and actress currently signed to WWE as a member of the SmackDown brand, where she is the current SmackDown Women’s Champion in her first reign, as her role model she dreams to meet in future as a personality. All the best to Alexandra though Becky has promised to come back for her saying that she won so cheap and winning is not cheap.
