Nigeria Pro Wrestling Federation releases updated final poster for Asagba of Asaba event

The new poster shares the event’s updated time, date and venue as well as displaying a few new wrestlers that were not previously advertised. The poster design is also set to be used as a billboard in the Nigerian city of Asaba to advertise for the upcoming event.

The Asagba of Asaba Wrestling Championship, an event that is set to honor Nigerian king Prof. Joseph Chike Edozien and celebrate his 97th birthday and 30 years on the throne, will now take place August 7th in the Main Bowl of Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Nigeria. While the event is spearheaded by the Nigeria Pro Wrestling Federation and features some of the NPWF’s top wrestlers, it is also an international affair with some of Africa’s best wrestlers being invited to compete in order to help celebrate the king. Prior to the release of the new poster, we had previously confirmed that The Wolf NDA and Kirikou would be making the trip in from Cameroon (and in the process will be debuting their new tag team K.W. Crazy), along with USA Bing from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Ultimate Power from Ghana. With the release of the new poster, we can also confirm that more international wrestlers have been added to the event. These new additions include Egyptian women’s wrestler Naglaa Johar and the masked Deadly Shark who will be making the trip in to Nigeria from the United Arab Emirates. An additional wrestler from Cameroon who has competed for Pro Wrestling Africa in the past, Black Tiger, has also been added into the mix.

There have also been some new additions on the Nigerian side to help bolster the event. Wrestlers who had not previously been advertised but have now been added to the event include the returning women’s wrestler Triple J and the super interesting, Mil Mascaras inspired masked wrestler Wil Mascaras.

As we get closer to this huge August 7th event that is bringing together some of the absolute best in African pro wrestling, be sure to keep it locked to WrestleMap for updates!
