Nigeria Pro Wrestling Federation postpones July event to August

The Nigeria Pro Wrestling Federation has released an announcement from one of their senior staff members, and Nigerian pro wrestling legend, Elephando Bassey. In the video, which you can watch below, Elephando announces that the upcoming pro wrestling event meant to celebrate the 97th birthday of the Nigerian king, the Asagba of Asaba, will have to be pushed back from its planned date of July 24th to August 7th due to logistical issues in the event’s planning.

Sources from the NPWF have indicated to WrestleMap that there is good reason for the date change and that the extra time will allow the federation to potentially bring in even more international pro wrestling talent. The NPWF is expected to release a new, updated event poster to commemorate the change. Those same sources have indicated that with the release of the poster, we may learn of some more international wrestlers that are being added to the card.

We’ll keep everyone posted on the latest developments for the NPWF’s upcoming August show to celebrate the 97th birthday of the Asagba of Asaba and if a new poster is released, you’ll be able to find it on wrestlemap.com!
