Those are the words of Jim McDowell who hails from Florida in the USA and who is set to make his African pro wrestling debut against ‘’Animal’’ Alain Tazo of Cameroon at a professional wrestling championship organized by Cameroon Pro Wrestling Federation in collaboration with Pro Wrestling Africa, the African pro wrestling confederation set up to see to the smooth execution of the sport in Africa and also as a link to the world of professional wrestling. The event will be held at the Palaise de Sports, Yaoundé, Cameroon on Saturday July 22nd, 2023 at 4pm. Other Cameroonian talents that will be featured at the international championship are: El Kass, Moustapha Zouberu, Kirikou, Le Tigre, Bienvenue, Mbunga, Black Tiger, Valdess and Arc en ciel.

On the set up of the timely international championship, kudos to the National President of the Cameroon Pro Wrestling Federation (FECACATCH) and the 1st Vice President of Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), Commodore Emmanuel Ndo, who has confirmed that all arrangements have been put in place to successfully host the much talked about “Battleground 2023.” He analyzed that the competition schedule to hold at the Palais De Sports, a multipurpose event center in the heart of Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, on Saturday 22nd July, 2023, will be the best pro wrestling show to ever be held in Cameroon in recent times, considering the arrangements and plans on the ground. “We have made arrangements on the guests coming internationally, lodging, the venue is secured, international wrestler and home based are all ready and the fans are set, waiting for the day of the event. Our best may not be enough but we have indeed tried our best.”

The Secretary-General of the Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), the African Pro Wrestling Organization that sees to the development and growth of Professional Wrestling continentally, Olusesan Olukoya, has also raised a voice that the championship will indeed be a world class event. ‘’The timely duel of The American Golden Boy and the Animal of Cameroon will indeed be an international fight. A world class event which we can also tag USA VS Cameroon. It is overdue as it should have taken place during the Covid ’19 era but delay is not denial as it is holding in July. Both contestants are ready and willing to compete, having trained well to get to this level.”
