Champions Pro Wrestling returns to action for first show of 2022 this weekend in South Africa

South Africa’s popular, long running Champions Pro Wrestling will be back at it for the first time in 2022 on Saturday. They’ll be a part of the Whizzkidz Academy’s 25th Anniversary celebration at Boksburg Stadium in Gauteng.

So far, CPW has announced three matches for the Whizzkidz Rumble and a special appearance. In a triple threat match, CPW All African Wrestling Champion Loudmouth will take on the high flying Matthew Hammer and X-Terminator but Loudmouth’s title will not be on the line.

Also announced for the Whizzkidz Rumble is the big and powerful Wiese taking on Super Dragon, the veteran of the South African scene who recently lost a match that cost him his famous mask. However, it looks like Super Dragon will be back under the mask in his first CPW match of 2022.

The third and final match that has been announced for the show will see CPW World Commonwealth Champion Ananzi get in the ring with the electrifying Alessio. CPW has not announced that Ananzi’s title is on the line in this match so we’re assuming that this bout will be a non-title match as well.

CPW World Heavyweight Champion Mr. Wrestling will also be in attendance.

It’s unsure what the champion’s role will be at the event but he recently paid a visit to the kids at Whizzkidz Academy.

We’ll keep you posted with updates about CPW’s return to action as more details become available after the show!
