Fifteenth edition of Colombia’s premier Lucha Libre event set for this weekend

SAWWAG Lucha Libre, based out of Bogota, Colombia, will hold the fifteenth edition of their marquee event, SAWMANIA WAG on Saturday, October 15, 2022. The event will take place at the Arena de Lucha Libre San Fernando in Bogota, Colombia, a repurposed church that now serves as a Lucha Libre arena.

This year’s SAWMANIA WAG is set to feature some big matches including wrestlers that are considered legends on the Colombian scene. There will also be inter-promotional action as SAWWAG wrestlers are set to go head to head with luchadors from Colombia’s ELL promotion.

Announced for the card so far is a tables, ladders and chairs tag team match between the teams of El Cuervo and Gemelo Halcon and El Toro and Terry Golden. A semifinal match in the ongoing ELL vs. SAWWAG tournament will feature Terror Star taking on Kuba Hendrix with additional inter-promotional action expected. A high-stakes mixed gender hair vs. hair match will feature luchadora Serket wrestling Jig Saw with each wrestler having a fan in their corner. In streetfight action, Pig Saw will clash with Africano Jr., the son of a Colombian wrestling legend. Then in a match for a number one contender’s briefcase, Colombian legend Fishman will wrestle “The Punisher” El Castigador.

Tickets are still available for fans that are in the area or would like to be in the area for the event. They can be purchased at a discounted rate of $20.000 Colombian Peso before the event and $25.000 on the day of the event at the box office. For more information, check out the SAWWAG Facebook page.
