Saturday saw Nigeria Pro Wrestling Federation hold the Mock Wrestling Championship at National Stadium in Lagos. 1) This will be fun to watch
The atmosphere in National Stadium is said to have been electric with the fans on hand enthralled with the action. The matches themselves sounded like they delivered. There were upsets, gusty performances and plenty of excitement. When the video comes, this should be a fun one to watch. And the video will be coming. 2) Favorites for the Battleground Championship emerged
With big wins on Saturday, a few wrestlers set themselves up as front runners for the upcoming Battleground Championship Series tournament set to kick off in May. De Mighty Man, Flying Dan Ko and Mr. Sharpman all established themselves with victories on Saturday and are in good shape heading into Battleground.
3) A new star is born in the women’s division
Alexandra The Queen made a huge splash in her first professional match. She went toe to toe with veteran female fighter Lady Becky and was able to leave National Stadium with a huge victory. Becky was said to be upset following the match and vowed to get revenge on Alexandra so there’s no doubt these two will clash again. But for now, Alexandra, just like her idol Sasha Banks, reigns as the queen.

4) Power Vic has a lot of heart
Power Vic showed what he’s made of in a great effort on Saturday, taking on the larger Super Rosco and going to a time limit draw. No doubt these two have unfinished business and would love to prove that they can beat the other. It will be interesting to see if these two will match up again during the Battleground Championship Series.
5) The Battleground Championship Series is going to be great
NPWF President HIgh Chief John Uche promised that the Mock Wrestling Championship would serve only as the tip of the iceberg of what fans can expect from the Battleground Championship Series. With the success of Saturday’s event and the buzz coming out of Lagos after the Mock Wrestling Championship, May can’t come soon enough!
