Argentina’s Legion Nueva Era concludes La Caja Misteriosa tournament and reveals mystery prize to be a shot at another promotion’s title

The mystery has been solved! The mysterious prize that was inside the box that the stars of Legion Nueva Era have been competing for has been revealed as the winner of the La Caja Misteriosa tournament has been decided. We previously reported on the first round of the tournament and took a look at the stipulations in play for the no rope tournament. The stipulations evolved with the rounds and as Legion Nueva Era entered the tournament finale, pinfalls were allowed. In the first round of the tournament, matches could only be won by knockout or submission.

The tournament’s finale saw independent wrestler Cassidy take on the leader of the Nemesis stable, which represented almost half of the tournament’s field, Chuck Dixon. Cassidy and Dixon brawled in a no disqualification match that saw the two exit the ring area and fight on the streets of Buenos Aires and even use some weapons. Cassidy fought valiantly but in the end, the numbers advantage of Nemesis, who interfered in the match on Dixon’s behalf, was just too much for the talented high flyer to overcome.

Following Chuck Dixon’s victory, the mystery prize was revealed as Catch Argentino’s Metropolitan Champion, Capitan Adriano, made his way to the ring. The prize? Chuck Dixon, a wrestler competing with Legion Nueva Era, will get a shot at Catch Argentino’s Metropolitan Championship title! This cross promotion championship opportunity is another display of cooperation between Catch Argentino and Legion Nueva Era, two of Argentina’s best independent wrestling promotions.

So the stage is set as one of Legion Nueva Era’s stars will have a shot at Catch Argentino’s prestigious, second-tier title. What will happen when the two meet and what could possibly be the reaction if the Metropolitan Title is captured by a Legion Nueva Era wrestler? That’s a story for another day.
