The event took place Monday, October 11th from a sold out Sala Siranush in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The audience was broken up into pods and the arena had strict Covid-19 safety protocol in place. The company also sold access to a live stream of the event which is no longer available to view.

In the company’s original run, they were immensely popular throughout Argentina with the Titanes en el Ring television show being the most watched show on TV for a time in the 1970’s and 80’s. Titanes is known for being the first pro wrestling company to use colorful gimmicks and over the top characters, beating the WWE to the punch by ten years or so. They were also way ahead of the curve with merchandising, selling action figures and more before wrestling merchandising had really become a thing. We talked a little bit more about Titanes en el Ring in this interview about the history of pro wrestling in Argentina.

They have announced plans to crown a women’s champion at some point in November with a similar event that will most likely have tickets for streaming and live audience available on their website in the near future. As of yet, no official date has been announced for the November show and tickets have yet to be released.

Titanes en el Ring has also released plans to crown an intergender champion at some point in December. As of now, a date has not been announced, neither has any participants or ticket information. It’s great to see Titanes en el Ring back in action and crowning new champions. That can only be a good sign for all of Argentine pro wrestling as a whole. Be sure to follow them on Twitter and Facebook for more future updates regarding dates, times and ticket and streaming information for the November and December events.
