Poland’s PpW hits the road for super show featuring visiting wrestlers from around Polish scene

Poland’s PpW has released a new show and highlights video from their two day excursion to the Poznan Beer Expo in Poznan, Poland for the Poznan Super Show. The hybrid Polish promotion, known for their hardcore wrestling and rowdy fan base, left the comfort of their home at 2KOLA in Warsaw for a new adventure, one that featured some Polish wrestlers that usually make their home in Maniac Zone Wrestling.

With the event taking place over the course of two days, PpW’s lead announcer “The Voice” Michael HT spends the early portion of the release walking the viewers through highlights of a few matches from the festival. Those matches include Isnorr beating Esteban Lucha, Direk pinning Tony Sk1n, Adam Wong falling victim to the sick and twisted Johnny Blade, a battle royal won by Isnorr and an exciting match between Aron Wake and Rob Scaffold in which Rob Scaffold looked particularly fluid and nimble in the air but Aron Wake, who put on a great performance in his own right, came out on top.

The first featured full match was a hard hitting affair between Cade Bruce and Madman Charlie. Both wrestlers used a lot of strikes to inflict damage on their opponent and dipped into some strong style tactics as well. In a match that went back and forth with each wrestler getting the upper hand at times, Madman Charlie was able to put away Cade with a Helluva kick in the end after quickly taking advantage of his opponent’s mistake.

The next match was an entertaining one for several reasons. It featured Esteban Lucha in action again. His opponent for this match wound up to be a “mystery luchador” who was credited as “Czacha? CTKJ?” and wore a skeleton luchador mask. However, this mystery luchador bore a strong resemblance to a particular PpW wrestler that has very recognizable long, braided purple hair who may or may not be named Johnny Blade. As usual, Johnny Blade took a lot of punishment in this one. That included high impact collisions with guard rails and being driven through what appeared to be a sheet of drywall. While he wasn’t taking punishment in the ring, Blade was entertaining the audience while escaping to hide from his opponent. Johnny Blade isn’t at his best as a luchador, though, and ended up on the losing end of this one. Following the match, Adam Wong came out to the ring and challenged Esteban Lucha, getting a quick win over the exhausted Polish luchador.

The last match featured from the Poznan Super Show saw Isnorr take on Hades in one on one action. Early on, Hades showed his penchant for violence, using multiple weapons to gain an upper hand and looking particularly vicious at times, even stomping on Isnorr’s hand attempting to break it. Isnorr showed a great deal of heart and tenacity to withstand the attacks from Hades and then fight back to gain the upper hand. This one featured some of the hardcore violence that PpW has become known for, especially in the match’s conclusion as Isnorr drove Hades through a table that was propped up in the corner with a deadly spear. One thing that the Poznań Super Show did for sure was establish Isnorr as a top tier wrestler in PpW. Over the course of the two day event, Isnorr came out victorious in two singles matches and a battle royal and looked good doing it. Could the PpW title be in the young big man’s sights in the near future?

Overall, PpW’s journey to Poznan was a successful one. They drew an engaged crowd that was supportive for two days straight in a town that they do not usually perform in. The fact that the company can pull in fans that are engrossed in the product even away from their home base is a great sign. So is the presence of other wrestlers from around the Polish scene. This cooperation amongst the scene and growing awareness of pro wrestling amongst the fans in Poland will be fun to watch in the next little bit.

You can watch the new Ppw video below. The company has since held the event Inside Job on September 11, 2021. That event was their first time back in Warsaw at 2KOLA since the extremely entertaining Ledwo Legalne. Inside Job has yet to be released by PpW but we will keep you posted when it is.
