Buffalo wins Pro Wrestling Africa Superheavyweight Title, fans storm ring in celebration

While we are still attempting to round up more exhaustive results and details from Saturday June 17, 2023’s Pro Wrestling Africa “Night of Champions” event from the Palais Des Sports in Yaounde, Cameroon, we are able to confirm some details from the night’s main event.

Buffalo, from Cameroon, defeated Mighty Man, the National Champion of the Nigeria Professional Wrestling Federation, in the night’s main event to become the PWA African Super Heavyweight Champion.

Initial reports and feedback from those at the event have been great. One attendee referred to the card as “the greatest pro wrestling event to ever be held in Cameroon.” Following Buffalo’s win over Mighty Man, a portion of the Cameroonian fans rushed the ring to celebrate with the new champion as can be seen in the video below that was shared to Facebook by senior PWA staff member Captain Emmanuel Ndo.

We’re hoping to have more information as well as some video coming your way soon so be sure to stay tuned to WrestleMap for more details. Check out some more photos from the big main event title fight below!
