Romanian Heavyweight Championship to be defended in Romania for first time in over a year, will stream for free on YouTube

Romanian Pro Wrestling is planning a free video release for December 26th featuring a Romanian Heavyweight Championship title defense and some of Central and Eastern Europe’s top wrestling talent.

The video, titled The Barely Legal Brawl, is scheduled for release on December 26th through RPW’s YouTube page. As of now, six wrestlers have been announced as participants in the show. Perhaps most noteworthy of those six is the presence of Deimos, the RPW Romanian Heavyweight Champion. Deimos, who has held the title since September 2018, will be returning to the RPW ring to make his first defense of the title in over a year.

A second champion of Central European pro wrestling is set to compete at the event as well, as current Hungarian Championship Wrestling Champion Peter Tihanyi will appear for RPW. According to RPW social media, Tihanyi will be facing a big challenge in his Romanian debut and will need to overcome a difficult stipulation to leave the country with a win.

Also set to appear for RPW will be former HCW Champion from Hungary, the man that Peter Tihanyi defeated to become HCW Champion, Maverick. Maverick is a unique competitor, often referred to as being untamed due to his hard to control behavior. But inside the ring, he is highly skilled and was recently a double champion in HCW. Maverick is a talent that is always entertaining to watch.

Other talent that has been announced for The Barely Legal Brawl includes the following:

  • Erik Strange, who hails from British Columbia, Canada but has competed in several countries in the world and throughout Europe. Erik Strange will be given the opportunity to become a full time member of the RPW roster but will need to win that contract in the ring. As of press time, his opponent in that contract match is unknown.

  • Ken Pyro, a rising star on the Eastern European wrestling scene that hails from Hungary. Pyro has competed around the world and has worked with legends such as Dan Severn and MVP.

  • Italian Dream, a high flying veteran from Italy who has experienced a great deal of success in Romanian Pro Wrestling. To date, Dream is the only competitor in RPW history with more than one appearance that is still undefeated. He has also been awarded, as per fan vote, the honor of competing in the RPW Match of the Year multiple times, having been recognized for the big achievement in two consecutive years.

The Barely Legal Brawl is set to debut on YouTube at 7 PM Transylvania time on Sunday, December 26th. The good news is that RPW has already created a link for the event which we’ve embedded below. That means that as of 7 PM Romanian time on December 26th, you’ll be able to watch The Barely Legal Brawl right on this page. So be sure to either bookmark this page or subscribe to the RPW YouTube page. If you’re curious about what’s happening in the Central and Eastern European pro wrestling scene, checking out this event is a must with the great talent and high stakes matches that are scheduled.
