‘’I know the stuff I am made of. I know the kind of training I have had in the sun, in the rain and even in the forest just to prepare myself for this timely rematch. I am up to the task and Michel is no match for me though I am mindful of his great experience as the Cameroonian National Coach and his pro wrestling prowess’’ he narrated.

Will history repeat itself?

Will history repeat itself?

From the inception of his career, Power Lee has made every effort to reign supreme and this led him to become one of the wrestlers selected to compete for the Nigerian Wrestling Board of Control (NWBofC) heavyweight title in 2009. He left pro wrestling from 2003 to 2008 due to lack of sponsorship and constant promotions and he was later advised to return which he chose to do. A series of competitions were made and he reigned supreme as one of the best four Nigerian heavyweight wrestlers. Eventually, he was the last man standing with De Lion Man, another talented and great wrestler, and at their national wrestling contest in December 19, 2010, Power Lee proved his supremacy by defeating “de dreaded” Lion Man to become the number one heavyweight wrestler in Nigeria. Many efforts were made to meet and present his national title belt to Governor Uduaghan of Delta State then which proved abortive in 2011 when he left the office as state governor. All he wanted then was to have a championship competition in Delta state which never happened during that regime.

For the African heavyweight championship title scenario, six African pro wrestlers in the heavyweight category were picked, and based on the exploits of Power Lee, he was selected to represent Nigeria at the First Ever All African Pro Wrestling Championship based on the summit of the African stakeholders meeting of February 2015 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. This led Power Lee to compete with homeboy “La Matrqueur” Michel Noudem of Cameroon who he defeated to become the Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA) heavyweight champion during the Battle Of Yaoundé 2015 on the 19th September 2015 at the Palais De Sports, Yaounde, Cameroon.

Power Lee has successfully defended said title against Marvellous Buffalo of Angola and he is now set to defend it again against “La Matrqueur” Michel Noudem of Cameroon, who he defeated to win the title at the same the Palais De Sports, Yaounde, Cameroon on Friday, 30th April, 2021 by 4:00pm.

Will history repeat itself in Yaoundé as Power Lee has proclaimed? April 30th will decide at the Palais De Sports, Yaounde. The only thing Power Lee is clamoring for is that the support and encouragement he got in 2015 from the Nigerian High Commission in Yaounde, Cameroon will fuel his courage to defend the title.
