New Champion of AIWF’s Australian Territory
A new Australian National Champion was crowned Saturday night in Geelong, Australia just an hour down the road from Melbourne. At Gold Class Wrestling’s Explicit ‘21, “The Atmospheric” Zane Zodiac was able to outlast Ritchie Taylor in a best of 3 falls match to claim the Allied Independent Wrestling Federations’ top prize in Australia. The AIWF is currently working to build an international territory system similar to the National Wrestling Alliance, but instead of being contained within in the United States, the AIWF’s system stretches over continents.
Zane Zodiac’s Australian National Championship victory puts a cap on an already eventful month for the wrestler. Zane had already advanced to the second round of the Death Match Down Under tag team title tournament and he also competed in one of the premier events in all of Australia, Melbourne City Wrestling’s Ballroom Brawl battle royal.
