Maria De La Rosa defeats Anarko Montaña in wild bloody battle for Lucha Libre Barcelona top title

Maria De La Rosa has captured the Lucha Libre Barcelona Absolute Championship after an incredibly hard fought match against Anarko Montaña with an absolutely wild finishing sequence.

Leading up to the finish of the match, at least in the clips that I’ve seen that have been shared to Instagram stories, these two absolutely destroyed each other throughout and looked incredible doing it. Maria got cut open badly at some point, however I haven’t found the clip of how that happened yet. Anarko, who started his career on the Chilean independent circuit and recently relocated to Europe, is just awesome in ring and all of his offense always looks so devastating.

The new champion Maria De La Rosa is one of Spain’s best pro wrestlers today. She’s also a trainer for Spain’s White Wolf Wrestling where she helps mold the future of Spanish pro wrestling. She is fearless in the ring and at home either on the mat or in the air and she employs a very fundamentally sound strong style in between the ropes.

Personally, I can not wait for video of this full match to be released. I’m a big fan of both of these wrestlers and they went all out and gave it their all from the clips I’ve seen. No word yet from Lucha Libre Barcelona on if or when video of the full match or event will be available but if we get any updates on that front, I’ll keep you posted.
