Pakistan’s REW Plans Excursion To Nepal, Major Show in Kathmandu
The week of the Nepali new year has just gotten even more eventful for wrestling fans in the Southern Asian country. As Nepal’s own Nepal Ring Wrestling Association prepares for their April 14th New Year’s Day event, Pakistan’s Revolution Eastern Wrestling is planning an event in Nepal of their own for the same week.
Set for April 17th in the capital city of Kathmandu, Revolution Eastern Wrestling is planning to make a major impact during their time in Nepal. REW’s War In Nepal is scheduled to have multiple title defenses with both the REW World and REW Asian Championship on the line. On top of that, REW plans to introduce two brand new championship titles, the REW Indian Title and the REW Eastern Title. Set to be in action will be former 3 time REW World Champion The Kovu Brandon and current REW Asian champion XMAK from Pakistan, current REW World Champion Gopal Sharma, Dev The Bull, Hukma Ram Godara and Sushant Sharma from India and several wrestlers from Nepal as well.
The event itself is promised to be something special. Some of the guests in attendance are rumored to be very special as well. A source from within REW has indicated to WrestleMap that representatives from the very top of Nepal’s government are expected to be in attendance. This could potentially include either the president or prime minister of the Himalayan country.
This excursion into Nepal is a big step for the Karachi, Pakistan based Revolution Eastern Wrestling. REW has committed to growth in Asia and is one of the leading forces behind the newly emerging independent wrestling hotbed of South Asia along with companies based in India and Nepal.
