Catch Argentino releases last edition of A Todo Lucha special
The fourth installment of Catch Argentino’s A Todo Lucha special has been released to YouTube. This was the final installment of the South American indie promotion’s new YouTube special that has received high praise from many that are involved in or close to the Argentine indie wrestling scene, both for the production value and match quality that these new releases have produced.
If you have yet to check out any of the wrestling coming out of the Argentine indie scene right now, this A Todo Lucha series combined with Legion Nueva Era’s recent releases are a great place to start. The two companies have a close working relationship and will feature each other’s talent pretty regularly.
The fourth and final installment of A Todo Lucha featured five matches and started off with a singles match between Teo Griffin and Striker that saw Striker target Teo Griffin’s injured left arm early and often. Griffin fought back valiantly and was even able to display some impressive power using only one arm but in the end, an innovative superplex reversal by Striker would lead to Striker scoring the pinfall victory and potentially putting an end to the feud between these two.
The second bout of the ATL finale saw Fullgas and Cassidy go at it in a solid back and forth contest after Cassidy answered Fullgas’s open challenge. Cassidy is one wrestler that has been extremely impressive in the recent string of Catch Argentino and Legion Nueva Era releases. Cassidy’s aerial ability was on display again in this one as he hit a nice second rope moonsault early. Cassidy also mixed in some flashes of power and spent some time targeting his opponent’s joints. However, Fullgas displayed some multidimensional offense of his own, showing off power, some brawling skills and in the end, technical expertise when he was able to turn Cassidy into a pretzel and score the pinfall with an impossible-to-escape-from cradle.
The event’s third bout was a tag team match featuring some of Argentine indie wrestling’s heaviest hitters and biggest stars. On one side was current Catch Argentino Metropolitan Champion Adriano and inaugural and current Catch Argentino Condor Champion, Razor. Their opponents were the big and powerful Hunter and Legion Nueva Era’s current Maximum Champion Pandemia who as a team represent the CLS stable. Both Adriano and Razor’s singles titles were on the line in this match. These guys are champions for a reason and this match delivered. Some of the exchanges between Razor and Pandemia were particularly impressive and everyone brought it in this one. Despite some tension between the two of them, Razor and Adriano were able to get the win after Razor scored a pinfall on Pandemia, successfully defending his title but also creating some interesting possibilities. With this pin, Razor could definitely put himself in the conversation as a challenger for Pandemia’s Legion Nueva Era Maximum Title if he were interested in collecting an additional belt. Count us in on that match if it happens.
Travis Wick and Mike Brooks looked to finally put an end to each other as their four year long feud continued in a cinematic match. The two fought throughout a dangerous abandoned structure, using weapons at times and even attempting to throw each through holes in the floor of the deteriorating building. Striker eventually joined in on the beatdown of Travis Wick and Brooks and Striker doused Wick in gasoline and dragged him off as the scene cuts out.
Fackzilla and Legion Nueva Era regular Ricky Rocca squared off in the main event with Fackzilla’s Catch Argentino National Title on the line. Ricky fought valiantly and used his quickness, technical prowess and heart to try and overcome Fackzilla but the Kaiju Argentino’s significant size and strength advantage was just too much in the end. Following Fackzilla’s decisive victory, Condor Champion Razor came out to the ring to seemingly cash in his Condor Title and challenge Fackzilla for the National Title. From here, an interesting turn of events leads to the formation of a dangerous new alliance that has to be seen to be believed. Following the main event, ATL concluded with a final, shocking scene from the cinematic match between Travis Wick and Mike Brooks that has left us wondering if we will ever see the Psyko Travis Wick again.
