Video: Nigerian news coverage of NPWF presenting prestigious award to Nigerian king

WrestleMap was able to get its hands on the news coverage of the Nigeria Pro Wrestling Federation’s joint press conference with the Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Joseph Chike Edozien. At this press conference, the NPWF presented the Asagba of Asaba with a prestigious award, naming him the National Grand Patron of the NPWF. The NPWF is set to hold a wrestling event to honor the king’s 97th birthday and 30th year on the throne on August 7th. The event was originally planned to take place before the Asagba’s 97th birthday on July 24 but has been postponed due to logistic reasons. The postponement has allowed the NPWF to expand its roster of international wrestlers for the event and the federation has indicated that they will be releasing a new poster for the event early this coming week that will reveal some new details and new competitors for the August 7th event.
