Canadian Wrestling’s Elite to celebrate 12th anniversary with first iPPV event

The Winnipeg, Manitoba based Canadian Wrestling’s Elite is planning a belated celebration of their 12th anniversary on June 12th. To celebrate the big anniversary, CWE will be heading to iPPV for the first time.

Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, and even through late 2020 when Covid-19 cases were at lower levels in Canada than they are today, CWE operated as a touring company. The CWE regularly left their home base of Winnipeg for other locations in Manitoba but also ventured out of the province into Alberta, Saskatoon and even Ontario. The company plans to return to a touring schedule later in the summer of 2021 or whenever Covid-19 restrictions allow them to. The 12th Anniversary Spectacular is expected to take place in front of a limited capacity live crowd.

In the meantime, the Canadian company are using this foray into iPPV as a chance to both entertain their fans and also to expand their brand to a wider audience.

So far, three matches have been announced for the June 12th anniversary spectacular. “Canadian Strong Style” Rob Stardom will go one on one with “The Misfit” Mike Mission; KB6 and Kevy Chevy are set to do battle; and Mercury and Rich King are squaring off in a junior heavyweight bout.
