Battle of the Gladiators set for Botswana later this year

As an end of the year gift to entertain professional wrestling fans based in Botswana and neighboring nations, World Gladiator Wrestling, an international pro wrestling organization based in New York, will be organizing two major events at the two major cities of Francistown on the 28th December and in Gaborone on the 31st December 2023 featuring two mega events for the first time ever in Botswana.

Botswana Wrestling Federation releases 2022 schedule featuring several pro wrestling events

The Botswana Wrestling Federation, the national body headed up by Dr. Moagi Sharp that oversees every level of wrestling in Botswana (pro, amateur, and otherwise), has released their proposed schedule for 2022 and early 2023. The calendar has a fair number of pro wrestling events listed which is a good sign for the Southern African country’s young pro wrestling industry.

In effort to grow pro wrestling in Botswana, commercialization efforts begin

In an effort to grow that industry, the Botswana Wrestling Federation is finding new and innovative ways to commercialize pro wrestling in the country. Their first effort to commercialize the sport and pump funds into the industry hit stores in Gaborone, Botswana on July 5th in the form of a bottled water.

Having successfully established amateur wrestling in Botswana, in the 2013 we came up with the idea of introducing professional wrestling in Botswana and we manage to register Wrestling Entertainment Championship which has been partnering with the Botswana Professional Wrestling Federation. We are doing quite well at our level though there are lots of opportunities to better the lot of what we are doing currently.
