Qatar Pro Wrestling announces dates for Super Slam III with big names billed

Today, Qatar Pro Wrestling has released their calendar for 2022. Included on the calendar is a date, or rather multiple dates, for their major Super Slam show. It looks like the third edition of this major event will be set for July 3rd, 4th and 5th. That’s right, a three day major event spectacular is scheduled for this summer in Qatar.

Super Slam is known for featuring major international pro wrestler stars over the last few years and looks well-prepared to do the same again. Realistically, these QPW Super Slam shows will most likely be the biggest independent pro wrestling shows in the Middle East this year and in terms of name recognition and star power, the only wrestling shows in the Middle East that would be on the same level would be the WWE events in Saudi Arabia.

So far, QPW has made some big talent announcements on their social media pages. On their Instagram page, they’ve been revealing wrestlers that are billed for the event. So far announced for this year’s three day extravaganza are Adam Scherr, EC3, Killer Kross, Samuray Del Sol, Bobby Fish, Brian Cage, Alberto El Patron, Lloyd Anoa’i, Chris Masters, Erick Redbeard, Dirty Dango, Cinta De Oro, and Booker T. Originally, this show was scheduled to take place in February of this year but had to be postponed due to the pandemic. Some reports on the originally scheduled February date indicated that some AEW wrestlers like Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega, as well as potentially New Japan stars such as Kazuchika Okada, were scheduled to appear. Jon Moxley did come out and refute his participation in the event before the show was postponed.

Past QPW Super Slam events have also featured big time pro wrestling names including Sting, Eric Bischoff, Rey Mysterio, Bobby Lashley, Brian Cage, Konnan, Booker T, Matt Sydal, Rob Van Dam and many more.

Also expected to be in action will be Qatar’s first pro wrestler, Classy Ali. Ali has had experience wrestling in the United States with Ohio Valley Wrestling. Other members of the QPW training academy may end up on the three day show as well.

Be sure to stay tuned to QPW’s social media and WrestleMap for more upcoming details about QPW Super Slam III!
